Our hotel in the Vaucluse

providing sweet escapes in Provence

The Vaucluse is the heart of Provence, that rare place that is great to visit no matter what the season. In winter, head down the Olive Tree Route during their harvest period, or go hunting for truffles during truffle season. Spring and autumn are perfect for long weekends, while in summer, the sun warms the stones of the small villages facing Mont Ventoux. You’ll be greeted by the smell of the yellow gorse and lavender and the sound of gurgling fountains and cicadas. Enjoy your trip in the Vaucluse with a visit to a beautiful village that takes its name from the area, Fontaine de Vaucluse, just 20 km from our hotel. Another must-see village thanks to its privileged location by the water and its nearly 300 antique shops is the Isle sur la Sorgue. Located 17 km from the hotel, it is perfect for idling away the hours by the banks of the Sorgue river.

Other villages worth visiting nearby include Monteux with its fortified walls (also home to “Splashworld”, France’s premier water park); Beaumes de Venise with its famous caves and above all its fine wines; Vénasque, one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France”; Le Beaucet, which offers superb landscapes on the Monts du Vaucluse; La Roque sur Pernes planted on the cliff. And of course, don’t forget the many hilltop villages in the Luberon, including Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux and Lacoste.
Just 25 km from the hotel, located within the valley, the 12th century Abbaye de Sénanque is one of the purest examples of Cistercian architecture.
